Striving to transform our world by 2030
As a steering group member of SDG Watch Austria, ÖKOBÜRO is actively committed to ensuring that the 2030 Agenda is implemented in Austria and that Austria also has a hand in the global achievement of the goals.
In 2017, 80 civil society organisations, including ÖKOBÜRO, jointly founded SDG Watch Austria with the aim of advocating for the implementation of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The platform now has more than 215 members.
ÖKOBÜRO is entrusted with the administration and public relations work of SDG Watch Austria and, as a steering group member, regularly holds talks with politicians, administrators and important stakeholders with a view to creating coherent structures for implementing the goals of the 2030 Agenda, focusing on evidence-based action and enabling comprehensive participation.
ÖKOBÜRO also organises frequent discussion and information events on the 2030 Agenda. The SDG Forums and the SDG Dialogue Forum, which took place for the first time in September 2021 in the form of a broad multi-stakeholder exchange, are among the most noteworthy events. But ÖKOBÜRO also provides information about the 2030 Agenda and advocates for its implementation through a series of workshops, lectures and interviews.
